Elvin Joseph Sanico was one of the best professors I was privileged to have at the UP National Institute of Physics in Diliman. His use of the continuity equation for steady one-dimensional flow to prove the "silent waters run deep" axiom was really cool!

Imitation

It has been said that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Sometimes, imitation is the sincerest form of robbery as well. You decide:

Magie received an inquiry from a potential Extreme PHP student earlier today. Why was Bluepoint's PHP course outline exactly like what a multinational training company sent him, minus section VI onwards? Furthermore, this "Authority, Model and PRIMEMOVER in the I.T. Training and Educational systems" was offering the course for half our price. Did we copy their course outline?

Entschuldigen Sie mich, but we own and produce all of our course materials. We spend countless hours developing, updating, and refining them. Various organizations have been using (and passing off as their own) Bluepoint's curricula, courseware, manuals, and course outlines (sometimes down to typo errors) without permission or credit for years!

But I was still surprised when this particular IT school's PHP course outline was faxed to us. It was a verbatim copy of what Vip and I created 6 years ago, formatting and all!

Income derived from all courses offered by Bluepoint Institute are used to provide scholarships, free training and technical assistance to Bluepoint Foundation's beneficiaries. The more students we lose to cheap copycats, the less beneficiaries we are able to help.
