Elvin Joseph Sanico was one of the best professors I was privileged to have at the UP National Institute of Physics in Diliman. His use of the continuity equation for steady one-dimensional flow to prove the "silent waters run deep" axiom was really cool!

National Broadband Network

I am not too keen on economics and governance. But from my point of view as an IT professional, we do not need a national broadband network at this time.

Government units can interconnect via VPN through existing providers, among other significantly less expensive solutions. We can even setup the government's network ourselves, for a fraction of the cost submitted by China's ZTE Corporation.

But the people behind NBN seem hell bent on pushing through with this shady project. I wonder why? Ka-ching!?

Please, there are more pressing things that this government needs to address, with hunger and poverty on top of the list.
