Engels started playing with Linux® in 1991 and obtained his Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), Red Hat Certified Instructor (RHCI), and Red Hat Certified Examiner (RHCX) certifications in 2002. He is in charge of Bluepoint's Total Linux®, Linux Kernel Internals®, Perl & Python Programming, and Extreme PHP curriculum and instruction development.

It was an honor to finally meet and work with Sahana developers Mifan Careem and Ravindra De Silva during the Philippine Sahana Initiative.

Most of our time together was spent working, to the point where we had to cancel a pleasure trip to the Enchanted Kingdom in Laguna. Magie and I even got a room for the kids at the Discovery Suites and set it up as Bluepoint headquarters for three days! Some folks from AS2 took Mifan, Ravindra, and Mathisha to Cabalen and Jollibee so we had to cancel a trip to Taal Volcano in Tagaytay.

Luckily, we had lunch and dinner for R&R. So The Podium, SM Megamall, Tiendesitas, and The Strip at Greenhills became places for us to unwind.
